Mapping Collaborative is a purpose-built practice that helps organizations make sense of complex problems and design better solutions.
We combine service design, research, strategy, communications, and facilitation to help organizations understand what’s happening, identify what matters, and move toward better solutions.
When a project needs additional expertise, we bring in trusted collaborators across design, technology, engineering, marketing, content, writing, and implementation.

Service Design & Experience Strategy
Suzanne Ackerman is a service design and experience strategy leader who helps organizations understand complex problems, align around what matters, and design better services, systems, and experiences.
Her work spans the full arc from discovery through implementation: conducting research, mapping journeys and service ecosystems, facilitating leadership and cross-functional teams, defining future-state experiences, developing strategy and roadmaps, coaching executives and sponsors, and partnering with delivery teams to bring new ideas into practice.
Over more than two decades, Suzanne has worked across financial services, healthcare, technology, manufacturing, R&D, supply chain, and other complex environments. Her experience includes in-house leadership at John Hancock/Manulife and Entegris and consulting work for organizations including Google, State Street, CVS, Citizens Bank, Boston Scientific, American Express, and others.
Suzanne founded Mapping Collaborative to bring that same rigor to smaller organizations and mission-driven problems, especially situations where understanding the system is as important as designing the solution.
